But really...
who is Benjamin Hilton?
I'm a Portland-based videographer and photographer with experience in both post-production and production management. I’ve worked across feature film, television, and branded content; from working with local nonprofits and organizations focused on native cultural preservation, to multinational production companies. My work spans from emotionally grounded storytelling to large-scale commercial shoots, with a passion for documentary work
I bring a story-first approach to every project, whether I'm cutting interviews, managing a production, or tying up the loose ends. My goal is to create work that’s visually coherent, narrative honest, and delivered without unnecessary drama—unless it's in the edit. I’m currently available for freelance video editing and production management.
I like helping create things. I specialize in Documentary editing and producing Narratives and Documentaries. When I have time, I grab my bag o' cameras and go shoot on film, because I'm that kind of photographer.
I'm honest and a straight shooter. I'll tell you if I can't do something, or work round the clock if that's what needs to get done. I hyper focus on work, and don't enjoy talking about myself too much. I like this section better than the other one, but you know... gotta seem professional and all that jazz.
